Founders’ Day of Giving is an annual giving campaign to celebrate all the ways Alpha Phi has impacted your life. It’s a day to honor the friendships, experiences, and memories made in springtime of your youth, and to pay it forward for the next generation of Alpha Phi leaders and scholars. It’s a day for every sister, family member, and friend to be involved and show their love for Alpha Phi. It’s a day where every gift makes a difference.
As we prepare for the next 150 years, Alpha Phi Foundation is committed to investing in our members and impacting our communities. This is an exciting time to be an Alpha Phi as we conclude the remaining nine months of our largest philanthropic campaign to date, one that celebrates our past while ensuring our future: Leading With Heart. Leading With Heart has and will continue to deepen our impact and strengthen the membership experience. With a goal of raising 38 million by June 2022 and a focus on building our endowment, we will grow leadership, scholarship, and women’s heart health for generations to come.
Alpha Phi Foundation supports Alpha Phi Fraternity, its members, and the communities in which they reside in the pursuit of advancing women’s lives now and always.

What is Founders' Day of Giving?
The 2021 Founders’ Day of Giving is Alpha Phi’s sixth annual day of giving. This is a membership-wide effort to inspire collegiate and alumnae members, as well as family and friends of Alpha Phi, to support Alpha Phi Foundation’s mission by impacting the Alpha Phi in your life as well as women across the world.
When should I give?
Founders’ Day of Giving is Thursday, October 7, 2021. In honor of our Fraternity’s founding year, our Day of Giving is an 18-hour and 72-minute fundraising campaign. Join us on 10.07.2021 from kick-off at 6:00 AM ET through close at 10:12 PM PT!
If you prefer to make your gift over the phone, please call 847.475.4532. If you prefer to write a check, please make the check payable to Alpha Phi Foundation, date the check October 7, 2021, include Founders' Day of Giving in the memo line, and mail to Alpha Phi Foundation at 1930 Sherman Avenue, Evanston, IL 60201.
Where is my gift designated?
Our area of greatest need is the Annual Fund, which allows us to allocate resources wherever the need is greatest. A gift to the Annual Fund supports the monumental Leading With Heart campaign, an effort to celebrate Alpha Phi’s past and ensure the future for our sisters and women everywhere through three priority areas—Leadership, Scholarship, and Women’s Heart Health. Your gift to the area of greatest need also supports Foundation programs like Forget Me Not Grants & Heritage, in addition to the people, facilities, and technology needed to make the greatest impact.
Can I support a chapter’s Educational Housing Fund?
Educational Housing Funds are not included on the 2021 Founders’ Day of Giving site. If you wish to support a chapter’s Educational Housing Fund through Alpha Phi Foundation, please make your gift on our website at www.alphaphifoundation.org/hcb.
Can I support the Heritage Program?
While the Area of Greatest Need does support Heritage initiatives, donors will not be able to make a designated gift to the Heritage program through the 2021 Founders’ Day of Giving site. To make a designated gift to the Heritage program, please make your gift on our website at www.alphaphifoundation.org/heritage-fdog2021. Gifts made through this form will count towards our 2021 Founders’ Day of Giving total.
Can I give on behalf of multiple quadrants in a single gift?
With each gift, donors may select a quadrant to give on behalf of. Your gift amount will count towards the quadrant leaderboard. If you wish to give on behalf of multiple quadrants, please consider making multiple gifts.
Is my gift tax-deductible?
Absolutely! Alpha Phi Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Donations to the Foundation are tax-deductible.
My employer offers a gift matching program. Are gifts on Founders Day of Giving eligible?
Absolutely! Matching gifts made by your employer are a great way to make your generosity go the extra mile. To make a matching gift, please contact your employer’s HR department.
Will I receive a receipt?
Yes! After you make your online gift, you will receive a confirmation email that can be used for tax purposes. If you give via phone or mail, your receipt will be sent in the mail.
